First Friday: Friday 1st June is First Friday, Communion will be taken to the sick and housebound of the Parish.
First Saturday: Reconciliation at 10am Mass.
Annual Clerk Collection: The Clerk Collection will be taken up at all Masses this weekend, 26th and 27th May. We are all aware of the invaluable work Eddie does. He is a treasure. We know you will be as generous as always. If you have not received your envelope there are envelopes available at Church entrances.
Corpus Christi Procession: We will have our Corpus Christi Procession next Saturday 2nd June after the Vigil Mass. It is hoped that our First Communion children will be present. The route will be St. Mary’s Church – Mary’s Place – Albert Street – Cantwell Street – Irishtown – St Mary’s Church.
Wedding Bells: Congratulations to Bill Lyons, Ninemilehouse and Christina Lloyd, Thurles who were married in Ballycotton last Saturday. Bill and Christina are part of our Diocesan Lourdes Pilgrimage helpers fraternity. They were featured on Ray Darcy’s photoshoot of people who got married last Saturday (Harry and Meghans’ day also) on Saturday night with Ray Darcy. We congratulate Bill and Christina and wish them many years of married happiness and togetherness.
Exams: During the coming weeks, our Leaving Cert and Junior Cert students will be sitting the Leaving Cert and Junior Cert examinations. It is a stressful and anxious time for them. We will have our examination Candle lighting at all our Masses from Monday next as a sign of solidarity with them. This year we have special shrine candles for Examination students.
Parish Fun Days: I am looking to organise some Family Fun Days/Coach trips during the summer holidays. If anyone has any suggestions of great fun places for the whole family please let me know. Thank you in advance, Maria in the Parish Office.
Blood Donor Clinic: Your next Blood Donation Clinic will be at Clonmel Park Hotel from Monday 28th May to Thursday 31st May. Monday 5pm—8.30pm. Tuesday to Thursday, 3pm – 5pm and 7pm – 9pm. Please go along and help with the increasing demand from hospitals and patients in the region.
