Next Sunday 3rd June we are invited to join the Polish Community to celebrate Corpus Christi in our Parish from 1.30pm in the Church of the Resurrection. The Corpus Christi Procession is still occurring across many towns and villages, and this year, we hope to give some wonderful memories to everyone of the greatest gift we have in our faith, that of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. For this year, we will gather after the Polish Mass at 1.30pm in the Church of the Resurrection – and process outside the car park area stopping at various stations on the church grounds. We will be inviting in a special way, the boys and girls who are made their First Holy Communion to join us and lead the procession. There will be prayers and hymns in English and Polish and it will be a real celebration of our faith. Everyone is welcome to join in the procession from 1.30pm and take part in this wonderful tradition. he Polish Mass in the Church of the Resurrection is at 12.30pm – everyone welcome. 1.30pm – Everyone gathers into the Church of the Resurrection for the Procession

Relational beings
Three years ago this week, Pope Francis issued his encyclical on the environment, Laudato Si: On Care for Our Common Home. In it, he calls for action to halt the destruction of the planet, arguing that preserving our natural environment should be an essential part of the Church’s mission. The word “creation” has a broader meaning than just nature or our world; it has to do with God’s loving plan in which the earth itself and every creature has value. But why are we talking about the environment on this, the feast of the Most Holy Trinity? Well, in Laudato Si, Pope Francis tells us that the Trinity is embedded in all of creation. Just as God is a communion, every one of God’s creatures is relational, and the world a web of relationships. “The Trinity has left its mark on all creation”, says Pope Francis. The implication of this is that we are all connected, we all share a common home, and we have a duty to protect and care for all that belongs to God.
We need to become more aware of how our lifestyles affect both the earth and others, particularly those on the margins of society, and to consider also whether our actions are fair to future generations.
Let us pray today, with Pope Francis:
“Triune Lord, wondrous community of infinite love, teach us to
contemplate you in the beauty of the universe, for all things speak of you.”

Stay With Me Lord
Stay with me Lord, when it is dark;
When pain and troubles are all I see;
Stay with me Lord, in the dawn and the bright,
when love is deep and I sense your presence;
Stay with me Lord.
