Today will be largely dry with good spells of sunshine. There’s a risk of just the odd light passing shower during the afternoon, mainly across the north midlands, but most places will see none at all. Highest temperatures 17 to 20 degrees, in a light to moderate southwesterly breeze, with sea breezes developing near coasts.

Tonight

Tonight will be largely dry but cloud will increase from the Atlantic, bringing a little patchy rain or drizzle, mainly in Atlantic coastal areas where it will turn misty too. Lowest temperatures 10 to 12 degrees, with light to moderate southerly winds inland, fresh along west and southwest coasts.


Tomorrow

Tomorrow will be dry in most areas, with warm sunshine developing, especially in the southern half of the country, but it will be cloudy for a time in parts of the north and west with a little patchy drizzle or rain near coasts early in the day, but it will improve in all areas with sunshine later. Highest temperatures 18 to 23 degrees, with light to moderate southerly winds.

Outlook

Headline : Some patchy rain or a few showers at first, mainly across the west and north, but becoming dry and settled from Sunday onwards, with some warm sunshine at times. 

Thursday night : Mostly cloudy, with some rain and drizzle, mainly in the west and north and in southwestern coastal areas. Mostly dry elsewhere. With slack winds, it will be misty, with fog patches, but mild. 

Friday : A few bright or sunny spells, mainly in parts of the east and south, but mostly cloudy, with patches of rain, these mostly in the west and north, with the risk of one or two heavier bursts in northern areas later. Maximum temperatures 16 to 21 Celsius, warmest in the southeast, with light northwest or variable winds. 

Saturday : Most areas dry, with sunny spells, but a few scattered showers will occur. Max. 17 to 21 Celsius, in a light to moderate north to northwest breeze. 

Sunday to Wednesday (inclusive) : Dry, settled weather, with sunny intervals. Temperatures will be above normal, with maximum daytime values in the high teens to low 20s, coolest in coastal areas. Winds mostly light to moderate, northerly or variable in direction, with sea breezes by day near coasts.
