SENIOR HURLING
The senior hurlers had 2 tough games in the past week. In division 1 of the county league we suffered our first defeat of the campaign against Drom & Inch. We were under pressure after a slow start and never fully recovered as Drom ran out 4-17 to 2-11 winners in the Ragg. This result leaves us in 2nd place in the group. Then on Tuesday night we faced JK Brackens in the Cahill Cup with Brackens claiming the spoils on a scoreline of 2-16 to 1-15. Our next county league game is on next Friday(14th) in Drombane at 7:30pm against Moycarkey/Borris.
JUNIOR FOOTBALL
The junior footballers were pipped by Moyne/Templetouhy in the opening round of the mid championship last weekend with Moyne finishing strongly to claim a 2 point victory, 0-11 to 1-6. Our next game in the championship will be against JK Brackens tomorrow(Sat 8th) at 7:30pm in Templemore
JUNIOR HURLING
The first round of the mid junior A hurling championship has been fixed for June 22nd where we will take on Boherlahan Dualla in Boherlahan. Throw in time has yet to be fixed.
ANNUAL GOLF CLASSIC
The Upperchurch Drombane GAA Annual Golf Classic is back again on July 18th & 19th in Dundrum Golf & Country Club. Prices are unchanged with a team of 4 costing €200 which along with your round of golf also includes dinner afterwards & refreshments on the 9th hole. There will be an excellent range of prizes on offer with a top prize of 2 rounds of golf in Killarney & overnight accommodation for the winning team. CLUB MEMBERSHIP
Club membership for 2019 is now overdue. Anyone wishing to pay can do so either to club registrar JJ Kinane or online at http://www.upperchurchdrombanegaa.ie/members/ Prices remain unchanged from last year. €20 for all players between the ages of 16 to 18. €30 for all players between the ages of 18 to 21. €60 for all players over 21 years of age. €40 for all non playing members irrespective of age.
