Toomevara Club News 18th October

Sympathy
The club lost one of its long standing members last week with the passing of Tom Troy. Tom had a great love for the GAA and was one the hardest working and loyal members any club could wish for. Tom was always willing to work for the betterment of the club and no job was too big or small. Over the years, Tom played for Toomevara, served on numerous committees and acted as Vice Chairman and also was a fair selector over different teams. His work around fund raising will be sorely missed and since the very start of the Toomevara Lotto, Tom was a driving force behind the success of the lotto. Tom was always anxious to develop the club and loved nothing more than seeing  younger players on the playing fields and it gave him great pleasure following his nieces, nephews and relatives on the playing fields. Tom will be sadly missed by Toomevara GAA Club. The club would like to extend its deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Tom Troy. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

The club hosted a double header in the senior county championship on Sunday last. Well done to all the field committee and stewards who made sure things ran smoothly and had everything in tip top shape.
