Tipperary Sinn Féin in our first act as newly elected Councillors, and as one team for Tipperary would like to send our congratulations to Tipperary team St Michael’s FC on their fantastic win in Sunday’s FAI Junior Cup Final in the Aviva Stadium against Ballynanty Rovers. It shows incredible persistence after losing the last four Junior Cup finals that they have contested after winning the trophy in 1974.
The win follows Nenagh AFC’s win in the FAI Youths cup just weeks ago and sees two FAI cups nestling in Tipperary showing the incredible explosion in soccer in the county.
