Tipperary will need to be at their absolute best to overcome reigning Munster Champions Limerick at Semple Stadium in Thurles tomorrow. That’s according to their in-form midfielder James Woodlock who spoke to Tipperary Times Dave O’Grady today.

The county’s hurlers take on a Limerick team who beat them at this stage in last years Championship but Woodlock is confident that Tipp’s strong league campaign will boost their chances tomorrow.

“We’ve been hurling competitively right up till three weeks ago and certainly learned more from the league this year than we did last year! We know though that we will need to be at our very best to beat Limerick. No Limerick team will ever lie down”.

The Tipperary ace also paid tribute to their talisman Lar Corbett who has given manager Eamonn O’Shea a timely boost ahead of Sunday’s clash.

“He brings flair and a uniqueness that no other player has. He is one of a kind, a magician and we’re delighted to have him back. No doubt we will see him feature at some stage”.

Eamonn O’Shea will hand championship débuts to Cathal Barrett of Holycoss-Ballycahill, Drombane’s James Barry and Niall O’Meara of Kilruane MacDonagh’s.

Throw-in at Semple Stadium is at 4pm on Sunday. Live on RTE.
