North Tipperary GAA Notes – October 21st 2014

Watch Centre North Tipp JH ‘B Championship k/o Semi finals
Newport and Portroe will contest this year’s Walsh centre North Tipp Junior B Hurling final after the sides came through in their respective semi finals last weekend. At MacDonagh Park, Nenagh Newport had five points to spare over Lorrha-Dorrha while at Dolla Portroe overcame Toomevara with seven points to spare. The date for the final is not fixed yet.

Walshs of Nenagh North Tipp U21 A Hurling
The three first round games of the Walshs of Nenagh North Tipp U21 A Hurling championship will go ahead this weekend. Holders, Kilruane MacDonaghs will face Nenagh Eire Og. Burgess take on Kildangan and Toomevara take on Roscrea. The championship is run on a knockout plus losers group basis.

Walshs of Nenagh North Tipp U21 B Hurling
On Sunday the second game in this year’s Walsh’s of Nenagh North Tipp U-21 B Hurling resulted in Ballina defeating Silvermines in a high scoring game at Portroe. Please note that Borris-Ileigh defeated Shannon Rovers Gaels in the only other game played so far but next weekend Borrisokane will take on Newport Gaels leaving Portroe v Templederry as the outstanding game. Lorrha have a bye. Again, the championship is run on a knockout plus losers group basis.

Other Games
The opening round of the North Tipp Junior Football championship will commence soon. The matter of the North U-21 B Football final has yet to be finalised.
