Premier Division
Roscrea United v Nenagh Celtic
GAME OF THE WEEK!!!!!
Lough Derg FC v Clodiagh Rangers FC
Winless Lough Derg welcome high flying Clodiagh to Clarisford Park this Sunday knowing time is running out if they are to avoid relegation. This fixture would have been earmarked for points at the start of the season but noone was to predict the great run Clodiagh find themselves on. Goals have been scarce for the home side with Tom Grace the only player with more than one goal whereas Paul Doyle of Clodiagh has 9 goals to his name.
NTSC Prediction:
Clodiagh Rangers
Thurles Town v Sallypark Odhráns
Sallypark travel to the Greyhound Stadium after a credible draw in Kennedy Park last week. Thurles though, who lost heavily last week will know that this is a game that could make or break their season. With so much on the line it’s hard to call the outcome as Thurles will rely heavily on Fogarty and Burke while the away side will rely on last week’s dogged defence to keep them in it.
NTSC Prediction:
Thurles Town
Division 1
Streamstown Celtic v Rearcross FC
In this interesting tie Streamstown will look to maintain their challenge to unbeaten Holycross and almost guarantee promotion with a win here. They face a Rearcross side that won easily against Borroway Rovers last time out and they will take solace in the fact that Arra Rovers came away unlucky to lose against the Roscrea side last week. Streamstown have Wally Kirwan again on top form with 20 goals whereas the away side have 9 different scorers this season, none of whom have more than 3 goals this season.
NTSC Prediction
Streamstown Celtic
Borroway Rovers v Ardcroney Fc
Ardcroney could drag Borroway into the relegation fight if they can claim the spoils in Thurles on Sunday. They will need something special though as goals haven’t been easily gotten unlike their opponents who have an average of 2 per game. This fixture depends on which Borroway turns up and if Davie McGuire can hit the goals again rather than stop them going in. Ardcroney will hope that Ian McSherry can add to his tally.
NTSC Prediction:
Borroway Rovers
Arra Rovers v Nenagh Afc B
Bottom of the table Arra will hope to improve on last week’s unlucky defeat to Streamstown as they face another daunting task in the form of Nenagh. Dermot O’Halloran’s first two goals of the season could be a major help although Nenagh have the very important Willie Darcy to help them find the net.
NTSC Prediction:
Nenagh Afc B
Division 2
Nenagh Celtic B v Nenagh AFC C
Few could have predicted at the start of the campaign that this would be a relegation 6 pointer at this stage of the season. Both teams who have struggled to find consistency throughout the season will be under the upmost pressure here. With 35 goalscorers and 70 goals between them in all competitions this one will surely be a goal fest. Stevie Daly could be the winning of this game.
NTSC Prediction:
Nenagh Afc C
Kilcommon FC v Roscrea United B
Champions elect Roscrea United suffered a major shock last week in Drombane and will have another tough journey this Sunday as they travel to Kilcommon. The reverse fixture was somewhat of an embarrassment for the home side after Roscrea ran riot with 11 goals. This however will prove much more difficult as the home side are unbeaten since and do look upon that game to raise their levels of performance. Roscrea know that BT Harps are waiting in the wings for another slip up and this will surely be the key to victory especially with Joe Callaghan on top form. Kilcommon will need Eamon Naughton on form here if they are to salvage something.
NTSC Prediction:
Roscrea United B
Clodiagh Rangers B v Ballymackey FC
Ballymackey’s faint promotion hopes are dependent on winning these types of games. They will face a Clodiagh team who shocked North Tipperary Football last week and this could make them very hard to beat. Timmy Fleming is the away sides main threat whereas Ailbe O’Donoghue will look to add to his recent goals tally.
NTSC Prediction:
Draw
BT Harps B v Cloughjordan FC B
BT Harps will look to cement their promotion and title challenge here at home to bottom of the table Cloughjordan on Sunday. The home side have Willie Kavanagh on great form whereas Cloughjordan have not won in their last 3 games.
NTSC Prediction:
BT Harps B
Division 3
Rearcross FC B v Streamstown Celtic B
In this tie both teams will look to get the three points in an effort to secure a good run before the cup competitions start soon. The away side, on the back of a thumping victory against Templetuohy last week, have been touted by clubs as a team to watch following their unpredictable run of results. Rearcross themselves have not won in three games but still pose a threat to any team on their day. Murty Grimes and Kieran Devitt could be the best outlets for goals here.
NTSC Prediction:
Draw
Ballymackey Fc B v Shannon Rangers
Another game with little to play for but goals should be plentiful here. Ballymackey boast the potent Martin Flynn and Kevin Mounsey and Shannon have their own dynamic go of Keith Kelly and Sean Moran.
NTSC Prediction:
Draw
Lough Derg FC B v Ballywilliam United
Only one winner here as Lough Derg look to keep the pressure on second placed Borrisokane this Sunday. They face bottom of the table Ballywilliam on a pitch that will not suit them and we feel the Lough Derg youth will easily pass this test. Eric Monaghan and Jamie Stuart will be the ones to watch and Ballywilliam will hope Davie Corrigan can supply the goods.
NTSC Prediction:
Ballywilliam United
Sallypark Odhráns Fc B v Templetuohy Fc
The away side who keep drifting downwards face a tough test here against 4th placed Sallypark. With Eugene Foley on 11 goals for the season it’s hard to see if Templetuohy can cope with him. Templetuohy will hope that Tony Buston and John Leahy can rediscover early season form.
NTSC Prediction:
Sallypark Odhráns Fc B
Barnane Fc v Borrisokane Fc
A tight game predicted here as the improving Barnane entertain second placed Borrisokane. The home side boast the talented Michael Everard and the away side will hope that they can rely on the impressive Matty Power to get the goals.
NTSC Prediction:
Borrisokane Fc B
Gurtagarry Fc v Clodiagh Rangers FC C
Runaway leaders Gurtagarry face 6th placed Clodiagh in a match that will see the unbeaten home side edge closer to third division glory. With Paddy O’Rourke and Billy Corcoran getting better and better it is hard to see anything but a home win here. David Considine will be the away sides biggest threat.
