Congratulations to Upperchurch-Drombane who secured the U16C football county title last Saturday with a five point win over Arravale Rovers ‘B’ in the final in Holycross, ensuring the division has secured a county title in all football grades so far this year.

While in the Féile Peil na nÓg national finals there was heartbreak for Moycarkey-Borris when their great run in the competition came to a halt with defeat in the cup semi-final. They carried the county and divisional flags with pride and honour and made the most of a wonderful weekend.

There was hard luck also for Diarmuid Ryan of Clonakenny who put in a super effort in the U16Poc Fada on the Galtee Mountains loosing out by a whisker on completion of the course.

A meeting of our Coiste will take place on Thursday July 10th at 9pm in Hates Hotel. All U12 championship league rounds are to be completed by this date as quarter final draw fixtures will be made at the meeting which will take place the following Tuesday, July 15th.

Best wishes to all players and particularly our Mid representatives involved with the county football panels this weekend. The U14’s take part in the Jim Power Tournament in Waterford; the U15’s will see action in the Humphrey Kelleher Memorial Tournament in Cork, while Limerick Coiste na nÓg host the U16 football tournament. A great weekend of action is in store and hopefully the Tipperary teams will be standing tall at the end of proceedings.
