Premier Division

Roscrea United v Nenagh Celtic

Kennedy Park

Sunday @ 2pm

Nenagh Celtic travel to the fortress that is Kennedy Park on Sunday knowing they will be up against it if the Roscrea that beat Nenagh Afc turns up.

Roscrea lie 5 points ahead of their opponents but the away side have 3 games in hand. The home side who are current Premier Division Shield Champions are hoping for a top 4 finish this season in order to qualify for the Joe Delaney Cup next season. Tipped by many to be the team to eventually challenge the Nenagh sides for honours they must overcome a shock 0-0 draw last week against Sallypark. Nenagh on the other hand remain 8 beaten in the league and earlier this season came from 2 goals down to defeat Roscrea 3-2. With players like Brian Moloney and Paul Kirwan on show for Roscrea and Jimmy Hynes and Craig Connolly (recently back from injury) for Celtic this will on me again be a great game for the neutrals.

A loss would be a disaster for either team an one could forgive them if it does turn into a cagey affair.

NTSC Prediction

A tough one to call but we think that Roscrea are at their best when they play against the best and this could be the key to victory. Celtic though will be used to pressure like this and will show no fear when the arrive in Kennedy Park.
With all of this in mind we can’t separate both teams so we see a 2-2 draw.
