Match Focus: Gurtagarry FC vs Borrisokane FC B

In this week’s Focus we go to The Division 3 where 1st plays 2nd in a match that will have a huge bearing on where the title ends up. Undefeated Gurtagarry Fc will welcome Borrisokane Fc B to Latteragh as they look to reach the half way point of the season without a loss. Borrisokane though, with only a single loss in their opening ten games (2-1 away to Ballymackey Fc B) will fancy their chances coming off a 5 match winning streak.

In a match that means so much to both teams it might very well take some big performances to get the 3 coveted points. The North Tipperary Score Centre feels that this could be the Home sides chance to pull away from the pack, boasting 40 goals in 10 games, coupled with only conceding 9 in the same period. They have relied heavily on the front three of Ronan Kinane (6 goals),Billy Corcoran (9 goals) and the Leagues top marksman Paddy Pio O Rourke(13 goals) to keep them.top of the table this far. With the 3 scoring nearly three quarters of their goals so far they will need to be on form to get past a good Borrisokane defence that has only conceded 10 in 10 games. The away side will themselves look to Matty Power ( 6 goals) and Liam Dunne ( 4 goals) as they look to go level on points with the leaders. Although they have only scored half the amount as their opponents they will still be very confident of getting the right result. A tight affair in store but the Centre feels that Gurtagarry’s firepower will prove too much to handle once again.
