Minor
Following the defeat to Moneygall last weekend, the minors got their campaign back on track with a narrow win over Toomevara in the 2nd round of the Minor championship on Sunday last in Toomevara. This was a keenly contested match played in blustery conditions with scores evenly traded between both sides. The match was even at half-time, Kilruane 1-4 Toomevara 1-4. Scores were hard to come by in the second half with Kilruane registering a further 3 points to take the honours on a final scoreline Kilruane 1-7 Toomevara 1-5. Kilruane are due to play Burgess in their next fixture, panel will be notified of confirmed fixture date as soon as possible.

U14
The U14’s travelled to Clonoulty on Monday 13th last to play the home team under lights but due to a generator problem, the match had to be called off after five minutes. The refixture took place on Sunday morning last as Clonoulty travelled up to play Kilruane, with a place for the winner to progress to County Quarter Final at stake. Clonoulty were missing a number of their regular players but both teams settled in well with Kilruane taking an early lead in the first half and with all the girls playing well, we were still in front at the break. Kilruane playing with the wind in the second half worked tirelessly and kept the scoreboard ticking to take the honours on the day. The County Quarter final against Shannon Rovers is due to be played this weekend; panel will be notified of confirmed fixture as soon as possible.
