Conor was born on October 12th 1992 and plays with the Borris-Ileigh club.

Conor played his underage hurling in Kildare, representing that county at all levels. In 2013 Conor transferred to the Borris-Ileigh, from where his father Philip, who represented Tipperary at minor and under 21 hurling, hails. Conor represented Tipperary at Under 21 Hurling and Intermediate Hurling level in 2013, winning Munster and All-Ireland Intermediate Hurling medals.

Conor made his competitive Senior Hurling debut with Tipperary in January 2014, lining out as a forward versus the Limerick Institute of Technology in the Waterford Crystal Cup, scoring two points from play. He won a Waterford Crystal Cup medal in 2014, scoring a goal from the full-forward position against Clare in the final. He made his Allianz Hurling League debut as a substitute versus Clare in March 2014, scoring two points from play.
