Carrick On Suir Livestock LTD have this evening assured Tipperary Times that there are plans in motion to rebuild the mart after last nights blaze.
Speaking to Michael Cunningham earlier he stated that the fire was electrical and began in the area above the restrooms, it quickly spread up through the roof.
As it was electrical the emergency services could not discharge water onto the fire as well as the weather being a major factor in the fire spreading so quickly.
The directors of the company today wandered through what was left of the building to determine the full extent of the damage. They now urge everyone to stay clear of the site as it is extremely unsafe and the damaged parts of the building will have to be demolished in order to rebuild.
This however, leaves the future of 25 or so workers in limbo as this could very well be a slow process.
Tipperary Times wuld like to wish the company the very best of luck in the near future.
