St. Cualans Christmas Party

We held our  Annual Christmas Party last Sunday week. The day started with Mass followed by Christmas dinner served in the Community Centre. Music Entertainment was provided by Pj Ryan, Phil and Johnny Maher along with some fantastic local talent. The local Scor na nOg set also danced. It was a very entertaining day and a Huge thank you to everyone that helped to make it such a success .

We would also like to thank so many local businesses for providing spot prizes and we would encourage people to shop local and support all our local businesses.

We also had a lovely visit from Santa. He took time out of his busy schedule to give out pressies to everyone and even sang a few songs before he took off again.
We would like to wish everyone a very happy Christmas.

Last Monday week saw a reversal of roles as we welcomed to the parish, three guides from Medjugorje who came on a visit. Normally, it is they who would be extending the welcome to us when we travel to the Shrine of the Queen of Peace, in far away Bosnia i Herzegovina. After Mass, the guides spoke about the story of the apparitions, the lives of the visionaries and the messages that Our Lady is giving to us. Afterwards, we adjourned to the community centre for tea and cakes, where our visitors joined with us and gave answers to the many questions people wanted to ask.
