Premier Division
Ballymackey 2 – 2 Lough Derg
The game finished with both teams sharing the spoils and coming away with a point a piece. Ballymackey lead 2-1 at the break through goals from Timmy Fleming and Aidan white but they could of had more after hitting the crossbar and had a goal bound effort cleared of the line. Lough Dergs Jason Comley provided their first half goal with a chipped effort over the keeper.
The second half was a more end to end affair and Lough Derg battled hard looking for the equaliser which came near the end of the game through a penalty which Stephen McCarthy dispatched into the bottom corner past the Ballymackey goal Keeper.
Clodiagh Rangers – BT Harps (postponed)
Game was Postponed due to the unavailability of a referee
Moneygall 3 – 0 Borroway (walkover given)
This was one of the games that didn’t go ahead as Borroway couldn’t field a team and conceded a walkover giving Moneygall the 3 points.
Nenagh Celtic 2 – 2 Killavilla
Nenagh again had to play their home fixture in the opposing teams pitch as the search continues for a new patch to call home. The game started off quick with Ruairi Murphy putting killavilla ahead in the early stages of the game. Things could have easily took a turn for the worse when Michael Ryan was sent off for two yellow cards in quick succession but if anything killavilla pressed on and put a lot of pressure on Nenagh Celtic and they didn’t look like they were down to 10 men. Nenagh did get a goal back through Shaun Kevin and the teams went into half time at 1-1.
Ruairi Murphy grabbed his second goal of the game from a perfectly placed free kick to put killavilla 2-1 up. Nenagh have always been a team who never give up and showed why they were crowned champions last season and battled to the end and got their equaliser through a superbly taking effort from just outside the box by Alan Kelly.
