The Tom Hogan-trained Nebo added to last season’s 50/1 success at Cork with a 33/1 victory in the seven-furlong handicap at Fairyhouse on Wednesday.
The six-year-old made all the running under Ben Coen to score by half a length from the Ken Condon-trained Ice Cold In Alex in the colours of owners Julie Routledge-Martin, David Martin and Dan Hall.
Coen said of his 18th winner of the season, “He got it easy there in front and anytime he heard them coming at him he picked up again. When he gets into that rhythm in front he’s hard to pass. Good ground is the key and that’s probably as easy as he would want it. When he’s on form he’s a nice horse.”
