UNDER 21 HURLING
Our under 21 hurlers continued their interest in this years championship as they claimed a deserved victory over Boherlahan Dualla in Holycross last Sunday. An early goal put us on our way and we headed into the break 6 points to the good. Noherlahan staged an expected fightback in the second half but our lads were able to maintain their advantage and won on a scoreline of 2-18 to 2-13. They are now in the mid semi final where they face the Moyne-Templetouhy/Thurles Gaels combo. This game at the moment is scheduled for Sat 17th at 2pm in Templemore
UPPERCHURCH DROMBANE’S FITTEST CLUB
Excitement is building as our annual fundraising night at Thurles Greyhound Stadium nears on Saturday November 17th and in addition to the usual canine entertainment there is a unique competition to find out the fittest club in the parish. Jerry O’Dwyer has designed an obstacle course to test the clubs to the fullest. A number of the competing team have already been announced with the remainder being released over the coming days. Tickets are €15 and this includes admission on the night and also entry to the €500 buster draw. There will also be live music following the racing. Tickets can be bought from players, athletes or committee members. Get your tickets now for a great evenings entertainment.
UPPERCHURCH DROMBANE ANNUAL XMAS CHARITY FUNDRAISER
The Upperchurch Drombane GAA annual Xmas charity fundraiser takes place this year on Sunday Dec 30th with the inaugural staging of the Upperchurch Drombane Point-to-Point – one church steeple to the other as per the original point to point race except this time without the equine assistance – It will be an 8km walk or road race from Upperchurch church to Drombane church… Get those runners dusted down
2018 UPPERCHURCH WALKING FESTIVAL
