SENIOR HURLING
The seniors played Kiladangan last night in the latest round of the county league Div 1 and narrowly lost out on a scoreline of 0-13 to 1-11. Next game for the team is a Cahill Cup semi final against Moycarkey-Borris that is scheduled for next Tuesday June 19th at 8pm in Littleton. On Sunday 24th we are due to face Drom & Inch in Drombane at 12 midday in the county league.
JUNIOR HURLING
Next round of the mid championship is against Loughmore-Castleiney this Sunday June 17th at 11am in Castleiney.
ANNUAL GOLF CLASSIC
The Upperchurch Drombane Annual Golf Classic will be held this year on Thursday 26th & Friday 27th of July. Once again Dundrum golf club is the venue and the cost for a team of 4 remains unchanged at €200. This includes a meal afterwards and refreshments on the 9th hole. There are some great prizes on offer. For anyone wishing to sponsor a tee box, silver sponsorship is €50 while gold sponsoship is €100. Those interested should contact Richard Ryan on 086 2676793. This is a vital fundraiser for the club so your genorosity is appreciated.
CUMANN NA MBUNSCOL
Upperchurch NS competed in 2 county finals this week in the Cumann na mBunscol championships. In U13D the players staged a fine comeback against Ardcroney but came up just short. However the U11C team had a resounding victory over Corville in their final. Well done to players and all involved.
CLUB MEMBERSHIP
Membership for the 2018 season is now due and remains unchanged from last years rates. €20 for all players between the ages of 16 to 18. €30 for all players between the ages of 18 to 21. €60 for all players over 21 years of age. €40 for all non playing members irrespective of age.
