Moyne Templetuohy – Club Notes 29/10/18

Intermediate: Sunday will live long in the memories of all as we regained our Senior Football Status for 2019. Five points down with time almost up, this team really showed the character and passion they have by forcing extra time. A new sense of life was envisaged  during this spell and we went on to be crowned Intermediate Football Champions for 2018 on a scoreline of 1-18 to 2-11. Captain Tommy Hassett referred in his speech to the players, management team and supporters who made this all possible. Our thanks to all those who came to the stadium to support the lads. Munster fixture is as follows: We play the winners of a Cork/Limerick Quarter Final; if a Cork win it is a home game, but a Limerick win sees us go on the road. This game will take place on the weekend of 10/11 November. Well done also to Johnny Hassett on his Man of the Match award

Junior Football: Solohead provided the opposition in this years County Junior B Football Final on Saturday last. A strong start saw us take a 7 point to 1 lead early in the game, but this was reduced to two at the break. Solohead’s first five minutes of the second half proved the difference as they scored four unanswered points. Despite bringing the game back to deadlock, Solohead took the win. Our thanks to the players, management team and supporters for their commitment throughout the year.

U19 Ladies Football: Another historic moment for the Ladies Football Club as they were crowned Tipperary Ladies Football U19 Champions for 2018 on Saturday afternoon last. A tremendous day to add to the Ladies Football Club’s tremendous year. Captain Muireann Lloyd graciously accepted the cup on behalf of her teammates. Well done to Roisin Daly who was crowned Player of the Match. Final score Moyne Templetuohy 1-12 Galtee Rovers 2-05.
