Having featured recently on #TheToughest, there is no doubting the stamina and determination that Cahir brought to Croke Park as they set out to lay claim to the All Ireland Intermediate Club Final.

The cool dry Dublin day played into the hands of the South Tipperary side. The opening score by Aishling Moloney was well taken and set the tone for what was to be a great win by the Tipp side.

Cahir raced into a 3-point lead before Eyrecourt got onto the scoreboard after 12 minutes. An injury shortly after to Eyrecourts influential midfielder Paula Kenny halted any momentum that Eyrecourt were trying to make into the game.

Cahir followed up with another two points before Eyrecourt had more injury worries with Jennifer Rosney #16, coming off injured. Cahir added another point to their tally bringing the halftime score to Cahir 0-6 Eyrecourt 0-1

Eyrecourt started brightly in the second half grabbing a vital goal to bring the deficit back to just two points. The Cahir girls responded with resolute determination scoring 3 unanswered points restoring their 5 point lead. The momentum now fully with the Cahir girls, they extended their lead to 7 points before Eyrecourt would score another point.

With the final whistle looming and victory in their sights, Cahir pushed on with a final two points to make the final score Cahir 0-14 Eyrecourt 1-02
