SENIOR HURLING
Last weekend saw us suffer defeat in the opening round of the county championship against Nenagh Eire Óg. In an even first half a goal from Loughlin Ryan saw us going into the break 1 point in arrears. Midway through the second half both sides were level at 1-14 apiece but it was Nenagh who did all the scoring from then on notching 1-7 to 0-1 to claim victory. Our next championship game will be later this summer after Tipperary’s intercounty campaign. SENIOR FOOTBALL
Our first game of the senior football championship is this Saturday 13th with a clash against Moyle Rovers. Throw in at Littleton is 6:30pm. Best of luck to the lads.
JUNIOR HURLING
The junior hurlers are in league action this Sunday. They will face Thurles Sarsfields in Drombane at 12pm.
UPPERCHURCH DROMBANE FUNDRAISING DRAW
Upperchurch Drombane GAA has launched a fundraising campaign with some fantastic prizes on offer. Buy your ticket to be in with a chance of claiming the top prize of a trip for 2 to New York. Or the 2nd prize of a trip for 2 to Madrid.
There are also prizes of 2 All Ireland Hurling Final tickets, 2 All Ireland Football Final tickets, 2 tickets to the Munster Hurling final among others.
Tickets are priced at €10 each or you can buy a book of 6 tickets for €50 and can be bought from any of the players or committee members.
The draw to find out who the lucky winners are will be held on Friday 10th May in Pa’s Bar, Upperchurch as part of a GAA championship preview night we will be hosting.

TIPPERARY MINOR FOOTBALLERS
Congratulations to James Griffin and Viv Downey who were involved with the Tipperary minor football team who claimed victory over Waterford midweek.
CLUB MEMBERSHIP
Club membership for 2019 is now overdue. Anyone wishing to pay can do so either to club registrar JJ Kinane or online at http://www.upperchurchdrombanegaa.ie/members/ Prices remain unchanged from last year. €20 for all players between the ages of 16 to 18. €30 for all players between the ages of 18 to 21. €60 for all players over 21 years of age. €40 for all non playing members irrespective of age.
