Club Notes 15/04/19

Scór: Pride of place this weekend goes to our Senior Quiz team who finished fantastic 15thposition in the All Ireland Senior Final of Scór. Well done to Jim O’Meara, Francis Cleere, Tom Collier and Paddy Moran and we thank them for their continued promotion of Scór.

Senior Football: Due to a bereavement in the Club our first round game of the County Championship was changed from Saturday to Wednesday evening next. The new fixture sees us play at 8pm in New Inn and your support would be very much appreciated.

Junior: Our Junior Hurlers are in the Mid League action this coming Friday evening where they face  JK Brackens at 7pm in Templemore. While on Saturday are Juniors are once again in County Football action where they face Golden Kilfeacle at 6.30pm in Holycross. All support appreciated.

U16: Our U16 Football were defeated by Durlas Óg in Round1 of the Football Championship. They now face Gortnahoe this evening at 6.45pm in Templetuohy.

U14: Our U14’s had a 2-05 to 0-07 point win over Upperchurch Drombane last weekend. They now receive a bye this coming week.

U12: Our U12 Group 2 team were defeated by Boherlahan Dualla last week. They play Moycarkey Borris in the last Round Robin game of the group on Tuesday at 6.30pm in Littleton. Our Group 4 team had a good win over Durlas Óg last week, they now face Boherlahan on Wednesday evening at 6.30pm in Templetuohy in the last round of the group.

School Hurling: Well done to all club players part of winning school teams in both Our Ladies and Scoil Mhuire Thurles lately.

Sympathy: Moyne Templetuohy GAA Club would like to extend its sincere sympathies to the O’Grady family on the passing of Martin (RIP). Martin was a distinguished player at both Club and County Level and in later years, refereeing circles. Martin won a County Junior Final in 1961, Intermediate Final in 1965 and a Senior Final in 1971. Martin also won 4 Mid Senior Finals as well as an Intermediate All Ireland with  Tipperary in 1966. In later year Martin became an accomplished referee, where he refereed many Final throughout the County. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
