Munster Secondary Schools Indoor Games

Held on Tuesday March 1st in Nenagh stadium we had a number of club members in competition In results from the day Anna Ryan representing her school Ursuline Thurles won silver in the long jump with a distance of 4.50m her brother Jack Ryan representing Thurles CBS won the Silver medal in a close race in the 60m sprint in a time of 7.30 seconds he also earned a medal in the long jump in 5.37m. Sean Mockler also representing Thurles CBS won gold in the shot putt with a throw of 11.77m, full results from the other events not available going to press other athletes who were in contention on the day were brothers Adam & Ben O’Dwyer representing Thurles CBS, Well done to all our club members who competed on the day.

Ran Half Marathon in Galway & Road Running Round Up

Well done to Sean Healy of Newhill who travelled to the Galway seaside village of Kinvara for the Rock & Road Half marathon distance of 13.1miles or 21.08 km and completed it in a fine time of 1 hour 33mins & 32 seconds. His team-mates David McCarthy, Paul Bowe, Paddy Cummins & Shane Mullaney are also training away for the upcoming road running season upcoming fixtures include the County Novice B road Championships in Ballingarry on the 20th of March and the County Senior Road Championship 10k for men & 5k for women in Dundrum village on the 17th of April it also includes a Junior 3km race for Ages over 16 and Under 20. We hope to enter teams in all events and regularly throughout the year it would be great to get a women’s & junior team going again if anyone is interested let us know.

Juvenile Training Continues

in Littleton every Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:30 to 7:30 for ages 4 to 9 years and 7:30 to 8:30pm for ages 10 years and over. New members Welcome.

Relaunch continues every Saturday €2 at 9am Walk Jog or Run over a 5k loop from the Community Centre in Littleton Last Saturday saw the group enjoy a crisp but beautifully sunny morning and enjoyed the views along the Ballynamona road New faces Always Welcome. Please arrive 10 mins beforehand to register your name and join in for the warm up so Set the Alarm clock All Welcome.

St.Patricks Day Parade Littleton

Is coming up shortly it would be great to get as many club members as possible to take part in the march on the day for the Parade’s 20th Anniversary.
