SENIOR HURLING

Tomorrow(Saturday) sees a repeat of last years mid final as we face Thurles Sarsfields in the mid quarter finals. The team will be hoping to keep the momentum going after their victory over Drom & Inch 2 weeks ago. The game throws in at 2pm in Templetouhy and is part of a double header with Loughmore v Drom following our game. Best of luck to the panel & management.

SENIOR FOOTBALL
Last weekend saw our senior footballers get off to a winning start in the county championship as they defeated Galtee Rovers in Dundrum. A lively start saw us score 5 of the first 6 points before Galtee enjoyed a period of dominance to draw back level. Upperchurch scored the final point of the first half to lead by 0-6 to 0-5. We started the 2nd half brightly again but a Galtee goal from distance in the 36th minute saw them go in front. That only served to spur on our lads as we reeled off 3 of the next 4 scores before Niall Grant finished a Paul Shanahan pass to the back of the net to restore our 4 point lead. Some cool defending saw us maintain this till the final whistle and prevail on a scoreline of 1-11 to 1-7.

MINOR FOOTBALL
Our next game in the mid minor football championship is against Gortnahoe-Glengoole in Drombane next Wednesday(2nd) at 6:45pm)

MUNSTER MINOR FOOTBALL
Congratulations to Keith Ryan who lined at midfield and Viv Downey who is a selector with the Tipperary minor football team that defeated Waterford this week in the Munster championship. This sets them up with a semi final clash against Clare in 2 weeks time.

TIPPERARY GAA MEMBERS DRAW
The new installment of the Tipperary GAA draw is almost upon us and promoters will be calling to existing members doors in the coming weeks. A large portion of the draw money is redirected back to the members club so we are hoping to get as many members signed up as possible. Further details will be published in the coming weeks. Thanks to all who have supported it in the past years.
