Scór Season 2016-2017

By Claire Murray

This is an appeal to all clubs to continue the proud tradition that is Tipperary Scór or to initiate Scór activities in your club. Tipperary has had a very successful year on the sporting field and our hurlers and footballers and camogie teams have brought great honour to their clubs and county. The year 2016 is a significant one for many reasons and the advancement and promotion of our language, culture and traditions was a hope and wish of many of the illustrious leaders of that time. Bearing these aims and ambitions in mind Coiste Scór an Chontae would encourage all clubs to look to taking part in Scór na nÓg, Scór na bPáistí, Scór Sinsear activities and competitions and enjoy the experience of taking part. There are 7-8 competitions including Rince Seite, Rince Foirne, Recitation, Nuachleas (Drama) Solo Singing. Ballad Group. Rince ar an sean nós, Instrumental Group. Divisional Finals will take place over the next few weekends and The County Final of Scór na nÓg will take place on Friday night December 2nd in Halla na Féile i gCaiseal. Go néirí go geal le na hiomaitheoirí uile. Remember to contact your club if interested in Scór activities.
