North Tipp District League Preview – November 15th

Premier Division

Thurles Town v Nenagh AFC
Thurles welcome Champions Nenagh Afc to the Greyhound Stadium this Sunday,  knowing it’s a good time after getting their first win of the season last weekend, beating Cloughjordan 4-0. This will give them confidence as Christy Burke has found an eye for goal and any points here would be valuable with Lough Derg not playing and Sallypark playing away to Roscrea. Nenagh on the other hand will look to consolidate their position at the top of the league as they know Roscrea and Nenagh Celtic are waiting in the wings for a slip up. They will look to Dan Dalton to add to his 10 goals this season.

NTSC Prediction:
Draw

Roscrea United v Sallypark Odhráns Fc
Roscrea host a Sallypark side that can’t seem to come to grips with the premier division this season. The away side have only scored 5 goals in 6 outings and have only amassed 3 points on the table to date. The home side however have scored 20 more that their opponents and have a quality strike force in Paul Kirwan (15 goals) and Brian Moloney (10 goals). Nothing but a win here will keep the home side in the title race.

NTSC Prediction:
Roscrea United

Division 1

Rearcross FC v Borroway Rovers
Rearcross will look to add to Borroways recent bad form as they host the Thurles side on Saturday evening. The home side need points here to move clear of the relegation zone but will not have it easy despite recent results. Goals could be few and far between here but Davie McGuire could be the key for the away side.

NTSC Prediction:
Borroway Rovers

Arra Rovers v Streamstown Celtic
Arra host a Streamstown team that have already scored 14 goals against them this season without reply. This game however will be played in difficult conditions and nothing is for certain but the Score Centre thinks that the firepower of the Roscrea side will prove too much as Wally Kirwan has amassed 18 goals this far.

NTSC Prediction:
Streamstown Celtic

Moneygall FC v Ardcroney Fc
Mid table Moneygall will go into this knowing they can’t drop points or they will be dragged into a relegation battle.  Ardcroney know they need to start winning or Division 2 football will be staring them in the face next season. The home side have Michael Parlon on form as Ardcroney will hope Ian McSherry will come good.

NTSC Prediction:
Moneygall FC

Division 2

Kilcommon v Nenagh Celtic B
The home side know a win is essential here as they look to get out of the relegation zone. Celtic themselves know a loss here will drag them into the mire. Eamon Naughton seems to be Kilcommons best chance for a goal whereas Celtic have had 18 different scorers so far.

NTSC Prediction:
Draw

Clodiagh Rangers FC B v Roscrea United B
Roscrea can edge closer to Division 2 glory here as they play second from bottom Clodiagh in Drombane. The home side face a strikeforce that has 3 players on double figures for the season but they do themselves boast the ever improving Ailbe O’Donoghue who now has 6 for the season.

NTSC Prediction:
Roscrea United B

Division 3

Templetuohy Fc v Streamstown Celtic B
Templetuohy,  who haven’t won in 6 games come up against the unpredictable Streamstown Celtic B.  With both teams struggling we feel once again that goals will be hard to come by. Tony Buston for Templetuohy and Shane Carroll for Streamstown could be the best outlets for goals.

NTSC Prediction:
Draw

Shannon Rangers Fc v Rearcross FC B
Shannon, who’s dreams for promotion are long gone, should have enough in the tank here to disperse of Rearcross. Willie Cleary seems to be the home sides in-form man while Kieran Devitt is always dangerous in front of goal

NTSC Prediction:
Shannon Rangers Fc

Lough Derg FC B v Ballywilliam United
A straight forward affair is expected here as Lough Derg continue their push for promotion.  With Eric Monaghan and Jamie Stuart on form this should be easy but they’ll have to keep a watchful eye on Davie Corrigan of Ballywilliam.

NTSC Prediction:
Lough Derg FC B

Barnane Fc v Borrisokane Fc B
Barnanes resurgence continues and they will prove a difficult test for second placed Borrisokane this weekend. Michael Everard is the key man for the home side whereas Matty Power will try continue his goal run.
