NT&DL Preview – September 11th 2014

Premier Division:

Sallypark Odhráns Fc v BT Harps
Sallypark host BT this weekend in what should be a very close game. The home side having lost their last two games know a win here is vital against a BT team that has yet to win away from home in the league.

Prediction: Draw

Roscrea United v Cloughjordan FC
3rd placed Roscrea United entertain a tough Cloughjordan team this Sunday with both teams hoping to win. When they met in the Tipperary Cup in Kennedy Park last season Cloughjordan proved too strong, a loss that sits heavy with the Roscrea side.
Roscrea will be hoping top scorer Paul Kirwan can add to his 6 league goals.

Prediction: Roscrea United

Nenagh Afc v Clodiagh Rangers FC
Clodiagh Rangers travel to Brickfields on the back of a heavy defeat to Roscrea on Saturday last, with 3 pts on the board the Drombane outfit will have surely worked their points tally around such a game. Nenagh who were defeated by FAI Cup Champions St Michaels last week still look a major force in the Division with two big wins already against Lough Derg FC and BT Harps.

Prediction: Nenagh Afc

Division 1:

Streamstown Celtic v Arra Rovers
Streamstown look to be strong favourites in this on with already beating Arra 9-0 in the Shield. Still with a 100% record the home side will look to close the gap on Holycross Fc who do not play this weekend. Arra who have at times struggled this season will have to recapture the form that beat Ardcroney earlier in the season if they are to have any chance in this one.

Prediction: Streamstown

Moneygall FootballClub v Nenagh Afc B
Moneygall welcome Nenagh B this week and will have it all to do if they are to come away with the points. With 4 points already registered on the table they will hope to continue to progress against a team that were narrowly beaten at home last week. Nenagh know this is a must win game following last week’s loss to title rivals Streamstown and we at the Centre expect this to be a catalyst to an away win.

Prediction: Nenagh Afc B

Rearcross FC v Ardcroney Fc

Rearcross will certainly be favourites for this one as the host an Ardcroney side who can’t seem to get their season off the ground. The home side, proving to be a tough nut to crack, will be full of expectations against the team propping up the Division. Ardcroney are yet to put a point on the board.

Prediction: Rearcross FC

Borrisokane Fc v Borroway Rovers

In this exciting fixture Borroway Rovers will look to gain ground on the top 3 against a very tough Borrisokane side. With nothing between these too this could very easily end in a stalemate.

Prediction: Draw

Division 2:

Roscrea United B v Ballymackey Fc
2nd placed Ballymackey Fc will host top of the table Roscrea United B in this pulsating affair. With both teams level on points they know a slip up is not an option but the Centre expects this to be a high scoring game with Roscrea to prove too strong by the odd goal.

Prediction: Roscrea United B

Cloughjordan B v Kilcommon FC
Cloughjordan FC B, winless after 4 games, look to have it all to do against a decent Kilcommon team who have won 2 out of their 4 games. Both teams lost last week and will hope to make amends this week.

Prediction: Kilcommon

BT Harps B v Clodiagh Rangers FC B
Clodiagh Rangers B travel to Templemore to face a BT Harps B team that is still unsure about last week’s result. Shrouded with controversy BT won last week after an abandonment with ten minutes to go, they will look to continue their current form after claiming 4 points in their last available 6 IF last week’s result stands. Clodiagh coming off a fantastic win in Kilcommon will surely be a hard obstacle to get over.

Prediction: Draw

Nenagh Afc C v Nenagh Celtic B
In this Derby match, the first of the season Nenagh Afc are desperate for the points with no wins in 4 (possibly 5 depending on the Leagues outcome on last week’s abandonment). Celtic B, who have been going through the motions, are unbeaten in two. League form suggests an away win but anything can happen on Derby day.

Prediction: Nenagh Celtic B

Division 3:

Shannon Rangers Fc v Ballymackey Fc B
4th placed Ballymackey B travel to Ballinderry this week hoping to make it 4 wins in a row against an unpredictable Shannon Rangers side. The home side who have not managed to win two on the trot since the opening two games will be hoping to kick start their season this Sunday.

Prediction: Draw

Barnane Fc v Templetuohy Fc
9th plays 10th in this game and this would be a punters nightmare as both teams have failed to build up a head esteem this far. Experience alone could see this game siding with Templetuohy Fc.

Prediction: Templetuohy Fc

Clodiagh Rangers FC C v Borrisokane Fc B
Clodiagh C, on the back of two very good wins, entertain 2nd placed Borrisokane this week. The away side have only lost once this season and will prove too strong for the home side this week we think.

Prediction: Borrisokane Fc B

Ballywilliam United v Lough Derg FC B
Lough Derg travel to Ballywilliam in high spirits following a demolition job on Streamstown B last Friday, Stars like Ethan Mowat and Eric Monaghan will look to terrorise a bottom placed Ballywilliam side who have already leaked 30 goals in 7 games.

Prediction: Lough Derg FC B

Streamstown Celtic B v Rearcross FC B
In a match that has a draw written all over it Streamstown B will look to put last week’s beating behind them as will their opponents Rearcross B. Kieran Devitt for Rearcross and Murty Grimes for Streamstown will look to be the difference for their teams.

Prediction: Draw

Gurtagarry Fc v Sallypark B
Leaders Gurtagarry will once again look to Paddy Pio O Rourke to continue his rich vein of form in front of goal as they aim to continue their unbeaten start to the season. Sallypark with no less than 13 different scorers in the league will be looking for a win here to close the gap on the leaders. A very close game in store.

Prediction: Gurtagarry Fc

The NTSC would like to wish Nenagh Celtic and Thurles Town the very best in their Munster Junior Cup matches against Redmondstown and Moyglass respectively.
