C.A.R.I. and Roscrea cardiac responder Group Bike run

On 5th July 2014, Roscrea Cardiac Responder Group had the honour of taking part in the C.A.R.I. (Children At Risk Ireland) bike run.

This is an annual fundraising event.

Bikers from all over Ireland take part, this year Roscrea’s very own Spirit of Freedom bikers were the Marshals for a very well run and very well attended event.

Starting in Annacotty the bikers travelled around the shores of Lough Derg going through towns and villages along the way, while going through these towns such as Killaloe, Scarrif, Portumna and Birr crowds cheered on the lads and lady bikers with some very excited children waving and asking for pictures on bikes.

Upon reaching Spar Roscrea, the bikers and support staff where met by the staff of Spar with food and drinks, Spar laid on a great reception for everyone with music included.

Roscrea Cardiac Responder Group would like to thank the Management and Staff of Spar for showing C.A.R.I. and the bikers and support staff how generous and caring the people of Roscrea are when it comes to such a worthy cause.

While the bikes and riders refuelled, locals took the opportunity to have pictures taken on the motorbikes thanks to the generosity of the owners.

Roscrea Gardaí led the rally through Roscrea and out onto the Limerick road, we thank the Garda for their support and look forward to seeing them at other events around Roscrea.

The Bikers continued on to Limerick for an open-air bike demo at Bedford row before a Bar-B- Que to celebrate the end of another safe and successful run.
