Dundrum AC Report – Jan 2nd 2017

MOOREABBEY MILERS AC 1 MILE DASH
The Mooreabbey Milers AC 1 Mile Dash was held in Galbally on Saturday the 31st of December. We had 5 athletes compete in this iconic distance. It was a much shorter and quicker race than the athletes would be used to. First home was 18th John McCormack 5:38, 24th Michael Moore 5:45, 26th Linda Grogan 5:48 (2nd Lady), 29th Stephen McDonald 5:57 and 36th Ausra Mackeviciute 6:21.
CLONMEL MSD 4 MILE 
The club had a great turnout of 19 athletes on St Stephen’s morning in Clonmel for their annual 4 mile race, as usual a red hot field lined out with over 500 athletes taking part. First home for the club was 5th Kevin Moore 19:57,

10K HOSPICE RUN 
A 5k and 10k run was held on St Stephen’s Day in Dundrum in aid of South Tipp Hospice.  Paudie Coen had a great race to win the 10km and John Shanahan also did great to place 2nd.
FIT4LIFE
Fit4Life returns on Monday the 9th January at 7pm at the track, Scout Hall, Dundrum.  Its on Mondays and Thursdays and caters for all levels. So if you feel you need to get back on track with your fitness after the festive season come and join us.
