BREAKING: Aherlow House Sold with future weddings honoured

Tipperary Times has learned that Aherlow House has been sold and all future weddings will be honored. Tipperary Times were contacted by Mattie McGrath TD regarding the news.

Mr McGrath told Tipperary Times that “I am pleased that the sale of Aherlow House Hotel has now been confirmed by Grant Thornton and that the new owner has committed to honouring all future weddings that have been booked with the previous owners.

Following discussions with the receivers, I had indicated earlier this week that this would be the position so I am pleased that the official decision has been publicly announced. I have been in contact with the many families who contacted my Office and I will continue to be in touch with them and to support them should any difficulties arise.

This is the best possible outcome for the area as the Hotel Closure was a major blow to the area and I hope that all staff will now be re-employed by the new management.

The new owner, Mr. Shanagher and his team, now plan to contact former employees and all those who have weddings booked directly as soon as possible. In the interim wedding couples can contact info@firebreak.ie for immediate attention.

I hope that this will remove some of the uncertainty that has hung over the hotel for the last week however, If anyone has any further difficulties or concerns in relation to this matter, please don’t hesitate to contact me.”

We are currently awaiting further updates. More to follow…
