The Annual Meeting of Tipperary County Council will convene on Friday 7th June, 2019 at which the first business of the newly elected Council will be the election of its Cathaoirleach. This meeting is the first meeting of the newly elected Council following the local elections held on 24th May, 2019.
Local Authorities by virtue of their democratic mandate make appointments to a range of bodies. Tipperary County Council makes appointments to the following bodies:

• Audit Committee
• Chairs Designate Strategic Policy Committees
• Comhairle na nÓg
• County Tipperary Joint Policing Committee
• Education & Training Board (E.T.B.)
• Irish Public Bodies Mutual Insurances (I.P.B.M.I)
• Local Community Development Committee (L.C.D.C)
• Local Authority Members Association (L.A.M.A)
• Local Traveller Consultative Committee
• North Tipperary Food Enterprise Centre (Rearcross) Ltd
• North Tipperary Genealogy & Heritage Services
• Regional Health Forum South
• Regional Health Forum West
• Rural Water Monitoring Committee
• South East Regional Drug and Alcohol Task Force
• Southern Regional Assembly
• South Tipperary Arts Centre
• Thurles Regional Arts Centre
• Tipperary Heritage forum
• Tipperary Sports Partnership
• Tipperary Transport Co-ordination Unit
• UCC Governing Body
At this Annual Meeting the Council will consider the making of appointments (Councillor and non-Councillor where appropriate) to these bodies. It should be noted however that appointment to some, under the relevant statutory or other provisions applicable or at the Council’s discretion, may fail to be considered and made at a later date to the Annual Meeting.
