The Cahir Tidy Towns Cannonball shop window winners were Cahir Men’s Shed and the runner-up was Best Friends World, Castle Street. The Transition years students were in action again this week and will be conducting a survey over the next week with people’s ideas and views on where we can improve and what projects they might like to see going ahead. The main things to remember is that we are a voluntary group and limited funds so that needs to be borne in mind.
We are currently involved in the Ice House project and will be having a launch this year. We are also planning to December and hate to say it (Christmas) where we hope to have Santa set up for visits on the weekends of 6th & 7th and 13th & 14th Dec. we will continue to meet on Wednesday nights at 7pm and still beds to be weeded and litter to be collected. Don’t forget that our calendars are on sale and a limited number available this year so purchase early at €10.
