Thurles Town claimed their second successive NT&DL Premier Division crown after a 3-2 victory over Borroway Rovers in Loughtagalla Park on Sunday.

Holycross remain in line for a potential treble winning season after a dramatic penalty shootout win over hot favourites Killavilla Utd in the Tipperary Cup Semi Final, reaching their forst final since 1998.

Matt Vahey’sside had to do it the hard way as they fell behind to a Brian Moloney goal in the first half but James King got the all important equaliser to send the game into extra time.

The sides could not be separated in the extra period and the hosts came out on top of the resulting shootout on a 4-3 scoreline.

BT Harps 1-1 Nenagh Celtic (aet)

Nenagh Celtic qualified for the semi final of the Tipperary Cup after a penalty shootout win over BT Harps. Harps took the lead early on thanks to a Stevie Quinlan goal, Danny Ryan’s second half goal was enough to send the game to penalties where a solitary miss from Johnny Coleman was enough to see Celtic run out 5-4 winners.

St Micheal’s grabbed a comfortable win over Bansha Celtic after two weeks of poor results in regional competitions. A Joey Mulcahy brace along with goals fromPaul Breen and David Slattery were enough to see off Celtic despite a late consolation from Niall Daly.
