We welcome into the Christian Faith Community of St Mary’s, Grayson Morrissey, we congratulate his parents, Garry and Jean.  We also welcome, Vera Rose McEvoy, we congratulate her parents, Vaclav and Rose.  Welcome also to, Jules Egan, congratulations to parents, John and Naomi.  All three children were baptised last weekend.  We also congratulate the godparents and extended families.

31 Years in Business:  Congratulations to Fidelma Flaherty, Westgate Antiques, who celebrated 31 years in business last week.  We wish Fidelma many more successful years of health and business.

Easter Fire:  Every Holy Saturday night for the past number of years, Bill Nagle and his team assemble and maintain the Easter Vigil Fire held in Old St. Mary’s for all Parishes in the town.  Bill and his team designed the special gas-burner for the occasion .  Its proto-type was the Olympic flame for the World Paralympics held in Dublin some years ago.  This Olympic “flame” was designed and manufactured by Bill and his team.  We thank them for their time, service and generosity each year.

Springtime Concert Friday 20th April in St Mary’s Church, Irishtown:  The Clonmel Concert Band, conducted by Danny Carroll will team up with bass-baritone, Derek Ryan for an evening of songs, musical favourites and movie themes on Friday night, April 20th at 8pm. The concert will raise funds for the Cherryblossom ASD pre-school at St. Mary’s CBS and the ASD units at Ardfinnan National School. Choirs from both schools will also perform with Derek and the band. Tickets, €15, are available from the schools, Marian’s, O’Connell St and at the door of St. Mary’s Irishtown on the night.

Birthday Wishes:  Birthday wishes are extended to Brid Collins, Toberaheena, who celebrated her 80th Birthday last week.  We wish her many more years of health and happiness.
