North Tipperary has seen the biggest reduction in the number of people with GP visit or discretionary medical cards since 2012.
There’s been a 52% drop in the north of the county compared with a 6% fall in South Tipp.
These figures compare with a 185% increase in the number of such cards in County Meath and near 100% jumps in Louth and Mayo.
Tipperary was one of 10 areas to record a fall in the number of discretionary medical cards over the last 2 years.
