Senior

MacDonaghs take on Killenaule in the first round of the County championship in Templemore on Sunday at 3.30pm. This is a huge challenge for the team so we need massive support in Tempolemore.

Minor

The footballers made their exit from the championship when they lost out to Kiladangan in Puckane on a 5-9 to 4-4 scoreline. On this Thursday, 4th April they pay Ballina in the first round of the hurling league in MacDonagh Park at 6.30pm.

Under 12

There were mixed fortunes for our footballers in Ballina. De Wets recorded a 4-9 to 2-2 victory. Team: Johnny Naughnane, Cathal McIntyre, Fearghal Doheny (1-0), Ray Quinlivan, Cillian Healy, Tommy Burriss, Shane Cleary (0-1), Paul Molloy (1-0), Thomas O’Brien (2-2), William Jones, Michael Cleary (0-6), Cormac Gaynor and Ciliian Franks.

In the second game Kilruane battled bravely but found the home side too strong. Team: Darragh Gaynor, Shay Óg Kennedy, Padraic Nevin, Cormac Kennedy, Jack Cleary, Bill Quinlisk, David Quinlisk, Charlie Kennedy, Billy Hodgins, Sean Conroy, Hugo Healy, Thomas Gaynor and Gerard O’Looney.

Mighty Macs

On last Saturday morning the Mighty Macs Academy recommenced on the Astro Turf.  This is an initiative for 4, 5 and 6-year-old boys and girls. The children are introduced to a Fundamental Movement Skills Programme in a fun environment. The Academy continues on this Saturday at 10.30am. No hurls or helmets are needed.

Astro Turf

The official opening of the Astro Turf facility will take place on Friday, 26th April. On the same night the minor hurlers will be presented with their medals. Everybody is invited to attend. More details later.

Club Umbrellas

The club has sourced a quantity of Kilruane MacDonaghs umbrellas which are now on sale for €20 each in Austin’s, Murphy’s, Rohan’s and Sullivan’s.

Tipperary Draw

Thanks to everybody who supported the outgoing Draw which proved to be a valuable source of income for the club. Subscribers and promoters asked to bring all payments up to date so that we can close the book on the 2018/2019 Draw.

Membership

Thanks to all our players and supporters who have paid their membership fees. We have extended the deadline to give everybody an opportunity to renew membership. Supporters can avail of a very attractive package which is now on offer from the club. For just €200 you will have a full year’s Lotto subscription, entry to the Tipperary Draw as well as your membership. In effect, supporters who subscribe to this package will have free membership — a saving of €30. Supporters have the option of paying by direct debit.
