MOYCARKEY BORRIS GAA CLUB NOTES 18/11/18

Our intermediate footballers bowed out of the mid championship last Sunday morning in The Ragg against Moyne Templetuohy. Unfortunately for the boys they lacked commitment on the day and just about managed to field a team.

Moycarkey Borris Lip Sync Battle

The DVD night of Lip Sync took place in Bannons Saturday night and was a great success.A cheque for  €53,000 was presented by the committee to Moycarkey Borris GAA which would not have being possible without the incredible work put in by the committee and the performers. Thanks to all our sponsors and everyone that aided our event as it would not have being feasible without everyone that helped.

Moycarkey Borris camogie and Ladies football

 The Christmas market will take place on the 2nd December in the community center.This is a much needed fundraiser for our camogie and ladies football club.We are looking for donations of toys unwanted gifts ,books etc.

Schools County Final

A hugh congratulations to Two Mile Borris under 13 boys team who defeated Ardfinnan in their schools county final.

Best of luck to Littleton National School who compete in the girls under 11 final at 1.40 on Wednesday and the girls under 13 final at 12.45 on Thursday. Both finals are being held in Semple Stadium which is a great honor for the school.

Interdivisional Squads

Congratulations to all our club members who played with the mid division over the last two weekends.Sean Hayes, Sean Graham,Liam Corcoran and Bill Flanagan played for the 13 shield while Joe Egan played with the Peader Cummins cup squad. Kevin o Halloran, luke Ryan and Tristan Ryan McCormack where part of the Rodger Ryan Tournament panel. Also mentors Ken Doherty and Noel McKelvey where selectors with respective panels. Congratulations and best wishes to all involved.
