McGrath Cup Round Up

Cork V Tipperary

Things are not going well for Tipperary as they have their second loss in the McGrath cup. A goal from Niall Coakley helped put the Rebels into a comfortable lead of 1-9 to 0-3. Cork were just about to go into half time leading by 11 points but a goal by Alan Moloney shortened it to 8 points. Cork remained to be the stronger team and went on to defeat Tipperary 2-22 to 1-10.

Limerick V Clare

Limerick were determined from the start to make this game theirs. They went into half time in the lead by one point, 1-5 to 0-7. Seamus O’Carroll added another goal to Limericks score sheet early in the second half. Cian O’Dea found the back of Limerick’s net to bring the teams closer, but it wasn’t going to be enough. Limerick went on to win Limerick 2-13 Clare 2-9.
