Nine Tipperary secondary schools are among 65 nationwide set to receive high speed broadband.
It’s all part of the Post Primary Schools Project financed by the Communications and Education Departments set up 2 years ago to ensure all schools across the country have internet speeds similar to those in multinational companies.
Installation work at the nine schools in Fethard, Killenaule, Thurles, Borrisokane and Newport is already underway and should be complete before new school year this September.
