A man in his 40s was killed last night (December 7th) in a collision on the R499 between Toomevara and Ballinamona Cross at 10pm. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene while the drive of the car (a man in his 20’s) was brought to University Hospital Limerick as a precaustion.
The deceased man’s body was also removed to UHL and a post mortem will be carried out at a later date.
Diversions are in place for the Forensic Collision Investigators.
