Formerly of Roscrea, Co. Tipperary. Peacefully at U.H.G. Beloved husband of Carmel. Will be sadly missed by his wife, sons Paul and Des (U.S.A.), daughter-in-law Delma, grandchildren Jessica, Paul, Alex and Patrick, sister Rose, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Mass for Desmond will take place this Wednesday the 11th of August at 11am in St. Patrick’s Church, Forster Street. Funeral afterwards to Rinville Cemetery, Oranmore.
For those of you who would have liked to attend the funeral, but cannot do so due to the current government guidelines, are invited to leave a personal message in the condolence section below. This will be greatly appreciated by Des’ family. |

Carew (Lackenacombe, House, Cappawhite, Co. Tipperary) August 7th 2021, peacefully at home, Thomas. Sadly missed by his loving wife Mary, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, Noel & Anne-Marie White, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Rest in peace. Reposing at his residence Sunday evening from 5 o’clock until 8 o’clock. Arriving in St. Brigid’s Church Annacarty Monday morning for Requiem Mass at 12 noon with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Peacefully at his residence with his family by his side. Thomas, pre-deceased by his brother John and sister Breda, sadly missed by his beloved wife Joan, loving father to Melissa, John, Niall and Fintan, daughters-in-law and grandchildren, deeply regretted by his brother Fr. Patie, sister Anne, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and a large circle of friends.

Due to current restrictions on numbers at funeral ceremonies, Thomas’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the presence of his family and close friends only on Tuesday morning at 11.30 o’clock in St. Michael’s Church Cleirhan followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Those who cannot attend can take part in the ceremony on the parish Facebook page Saint Michael’s Church Cleirhan. Please note that numbers are restricted to 50 people max. Mary Egan, (nee Flynn), Bellevue, Coolbawn, Nenagh and formerly of Rodeen, Borrisokane. Mary, will be sadly missed by her loving husband Peter and her loving sister Eileen (Slattery), sisters-in-law Mary and Mary, brother-in-law John, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and close community of friends. Predeceased by her siblings Patricia and Eddie.
Reposing on Sunday 8th at Sullivan’s Funeral Home, Borrisokane, from 6pm until 7.30pm, for family and close friends, to pay their respects. Funeral arriving on Monday, to St. Barron’s Church, Kilbarron, for Funeral Mass at 12 o’clock, followed by burial in Kilbarron Cemetery, with strict adherence to social distancing and face covering, at all times.
A special word of thanks to the staff in the ICU and HDU Departments of University Hospital Limerick and to her GP Muiris O’Keeffe, for the exceptional care Mary received over the past while, Míle Buíochas. |

Captain Brian C. Phelan (Irish Army, Retd) and late of The Southern Health Board passed away surrounded by his loving family and in the excellent care of all at Brookfield Care Centre, Leamlara. Beloved husband of the late Pauline, much – loved father of Ann, Ruth, and Jane; dear brother of Liam, Theresa, and the late Donal and Nial. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his daughters, brother, sister; grandchildren Colm, Eoin, Sinéad, Rhona, Rory, Oliver, and Leo; great grandson Art, son-in-law Pat, extended family, relatives and friends. Ní bheidh a leithéid ann arís. Brian’s funeral will take place in line with current government guidelines. Brian’s funeral cortege will leave Cahill’s Funeral Home Newtown Rd., Cobh, on Monday August 9th at 1.30pm en route to St. Colman’s Cathedral for 2pm Requiem Mass followed by burial in St. Colman’s Cemetery.
