Tipperary TD Noel Coonan has welcomed the announcement of €50,000 funding for Tipperary projects under the Built Heritage Investment Scheme from the Department of Arts, Heritage and Gaeltacht.
“The funding will allow for the conservation and repair of heritage buildings across the county. The economic recovery is allowing for increased investment in our heritage assets such as Ardfinnan Castle, Clonbeg Church in the Glen of Aherlow, Church of Our Lady Queen in New Inn and Rosanna Lawn Tennis Club in Tipperary Town.
“Ireland’s heritage buildings and protected structures are a vital part of the infrastructure of our villages, towns, and cities. The economic recovery is allowing for increased investment in our heritage assets,” concluded Deputy Coonan.
