As Cathaoirleach of the Nenagh Municipal District, I have today started to get to the bottom of this issue as people are getting really frustrated by this boil water notice.
It seems that Irish Water like to pretend that they are working in partnership with Tipperary County Council to sort this out, when from my information Tipperary County Council are frustrated in their efforts to get Irish Water to even get a temporary fix to this situation .
From my information Irish Water has known about the potential of this issue to happen over 2 YEARS AGO and had committed to upgrading the plant 15 MONTHS ago but didn’t. Others will tell you that it is still under investigation but there is nothing to investigate.
IRISH WATER has simply let the people of Borrisokane down by allowing this to happen. I will keep you updated on my efforts to get Irish Water to do what they have committed to do 15 months ago
