Fine Gael Tipperary TD, Noel Coonan, has congratulated the eight organisations across Tipperary which have been approved National Lottery funding by the Fine Gael Minister for Children and Youth Affairs James Reilly under the 2014 funding programme.

“I am delighted for the eight Tipperary organisations who will receive funding totalling €24,880 from the Department of Children and Youth Affairs. Groups to benefit include Templemore Badmington Club, Tipperary Regional Youth Services, Spleador Arts Festival in Nenagh, NTLP Roscrea Youth Project, Tumbletots Playschool in Clonmel, Respond Housing Association and Spafield FRC, Cashel.

“All of these organisations are very deserving of this tranche of funding approved by my colleague Minister James Reilly. The Department will be in touch shortly with each of the organisations concerning payment of these grants.”

“This fund provides once-off grants to community groups and voluntary organisations with an involvement in the provision of Children’s and Youth services. Grants are generally awarded for once-off projects across a wide variety of areas such as the provision of equipment for youth clubs, youth cafes, scouts, summer camps, day trips for youth clubs/summer camps, play equipment for playschools/crèches and other once- off programs,” concluded Deputy Coonan.
