Campaign Against Water Charges

Following a very successful National Protest against water Charges in Dublin on Saturday last, the local campaign continues this week with a Public Meeting tonight Monday 13 October in Hearn’s Hotel, Clonmel at 8pm and a Public Protest at the Main Guard, Clonmel on Saturday next 18th October at 12 noon.

Deputy Seamus Healy, a founder member of the National Right 2 Water Campaign which organised Saturday’s Protest will address the meeting on Monday night.

Deputy Healy is calling on the Public to turn out on Saturday at the Main Guard, Clonmel to show their opposition to these unjust charges.

Water is not a commodity, it is a human right.

The growing tide of local protests and meetings in recent weeks topped off by Saturday’s massive demonstration, shows that the Government Parties have completely underestimated the anger and determination among people to fight the Water Charges.

People Power can abolish this regressive anti-family tax which has been introduced to pay the debts of banks and bondholders.
