Deadline closing soon for the Insulate Tipp Scheme

Under the 2016 Insulate Tipp Scheme, eligible homeowners in Tipperary can get their homes insulated before the end of October for less than €495 The following is included in this scheme: attic insulation, cavity wall insulation, a wood burning stove, ventilation, draft proofing measures of windows and doors, energy efficient bulbs, an energy monitor plus, a BER Certificate. This will make homes warmer and more comfortable to live in, plus cheaper to run. 

 

Homeowners in receipt of the following are eligible for this upgrade – Fuel Allowance, Job Seekers Allowance for over six months and has children under 7 years of age, Family Income Supplement (FIS) or One Parent Family Payment. Proof of receipt of any of the above payments, which can be obtained from your social welfare office is required to apply for the scheme. Applications must be sent in by the end of September to be considered.

 

Paul Kenny, CEO, Tipperary Energy Agency said “If you know someone that it is receipt of the Fuel Allowance or Family Income Supplement, please let them know that they may be eligible to get their house insulated in time for winter. We want to help vulnerable people stay warm and live in healthier homes. We encourage you to apply as spaces are filling up quickly”.
