West Minor B Hurling Success
Well done to our Minor hurlers on winning the west championship beating Eire Og Anacarty in Golden on Saturday last 1-16 to 0-8. Eire Og playing with a strong breeze struggled early on in front of goals wasting several opportunities. Cashel on the other hand looked sharp with Ross Bonnar and Danny Wade a threat. Conn Bonnar got his team off the mark with a free before Wade landed a lovely point. In fact Cashel had a goal ruled out with the referee coming back for an earlier infringement. Further Cashel points ensured things remained close with Conn Bonnar closing out the half with a point to leave Cashel leading 0-7 to 0-6 at the interval. Eire Og now with the breeze at their backs converted an early free. But Cashel determined to win this game settled and battled fiercely for every ball. Bonnar continued knocking over the frees, landing two early with Paddy Fahy and Brian Fitzpatrick adding two super points from open play. In control now, the anacarty lads threw caution to the wind and tested Cashels defensive line, but stubborn and resilient it stood snuffing out attack after attack. The impact of Cashels bench too was impressive, Colin Ryan scoring a beauty, while Jack Price displayed strength, determination and skill to convert a superb point. Bonnar landed two more frees while Eire Og scored their second and final point of the half. The final play of the game saw Danny Wade saw his speculative shot finding its way to the net. Huge credit to all the players and management team whom have worked tirelessly behind the scenes. Well done to all. We now have a county championship tilt in both hurling and football to look forward to. The sky’s the limit. Full time Cashel KC 1-16 Eire OG 0-8. West U.14 Shield Final Success
First into action was our U.14s whom were seeking compensation for a disappointing exit in West championship with a battle with Golden/Galtee in the losers group shield final. The game began well in a half that which saw both team equally matched. But the home team soon established a 7 point lead with Cashel struggling to make inroads in the second half. When all seemed lost Jack McGrath landed a brace of goals before James O Sullivan buried another late in the game to hand Cashel what seemed an unlikely victory. Well done to all the players and mentors for sticking with it and salvaging their season. If anything was learned from this game it was this ” it aint over until its over”.
Full time Cashel KC 5-6 Golden Galtee 3-11
Scorers Jack McGrath 3-4, Ronan Connolly 1-1, James O Sullivan 1-0, Conor O Dwyer 0-1.

Tipperary Success
It was a day that will live forever in the memory, well done to both the Tipperary Minor and Senior teams on Sunday last, winning the All Ireland is an outstanding achievement and beating Kilkenny even better. We had a strong connection with successful minor team that defeated Limerick, with Kevin O Sullivan heavily involved in the backroom coaching team, well done Sully. Also to the men from the west on both panels, well done to you all and the entire panels and management teams, from all at Cashel King Cormacs.

Intermediate Hurling
Our intermediate hurlers face Sean Treacys on Saturday next in the West Semi Final. Throw in is at 6pm in Sean Treacy park and all support is greatly appreciated.
