Lance Armstrong Live and Uncut at new One Zero Event in Dublin

Former Pro-Cyclist to Headline Major Global Sports Conference in Dublin

Lance Armstrong is coming to Dublin in October for his only European speaking engagement of 2016.

He will conduct a 90 minute ‘no-holds barred’ interview live on stage at the inaugural One Zero Conference at the RDS on Friday, October 21st.

Other leading figures looking at the future of sport in a global context on the day will include:

• Leading advocate for ethics in sport and one time candidate for the Presidency of FIFA, Jaimie Fuller of Skins;
• Head of Innovation and Technology with the all conquering Team USA from the Olympics and Paralympic Games, Mounir Zok;
• Twitter Head of Sport, Alex Trickett
• Vice President, Content at Eurosport, Arnaud Simon
• Vice President, Digital Brand Strategy at Phoenix Suns, Jeramie McPeek

The one day event has attracted interest from around the world and will bring the global sporting spotlight on Dublin.

It will appeal to those who are interested in sport in all its forms, from how it is watched by consumers, played by teams and advanced by technology.

In a world where Olympic Broadcasting rights are sold for $12 Billion and Manchester United yesterday became the first British soccer club to increase overall revenues in a year to more than €600 million, sport is becoming the business and technology story of the decade.

One Zero is at the heart of that. Further keynote speakers will be announced in the coming days and weeks as well as the full line up of speakers for high level panels on e-sports, digital media, ethics in sport, fan engagement, innovation and sports investment.

“This is an event which has attracted global interest from the people who are shaping the future of sport,” said One Zero co-founder Rob Hartnett.

“One Zero is about bringing compelling and world class sporting stories to life in a way that has never been done before.”

“Lance Armstrong has been the most jaw dropping story in sport in 20 years,” added co-founder Richard Barrett.

“Everyone has an opinion but very few have heard his story at first hand with all the cards on the table.”

“Having him speak openly and with candour about his past, with a world class interviewer who we will be revealing shortly, is a signal of the intent of One Zero to tackle the major issues in sport from money and fans to technology and drugs.”

“The complete speaker line up we will be revealing in the coming weeks is like nothing Dublin has seen before,” concluded co-founder Ross O’Dwyer.
“There are limited places available with general admission tickets on sale from this morning through ticketmaster.ie as well as a number of VIP packages.”

The event will also feature a world class start up competition, supported by Bank of Ireland.
Three finalists will appear on the main stage at One Zero to pitch for a major cash and mentoring prize.

Tickets for One Zero are on sale today from ticketmaster.ie with more details about the event available at www.onezerocon.com
